Kyiv Panicked: the Russian Army Will Send Air Assault Brigades to Kharkov

Russian troops plan to go on the offensive in the Liman-Kupyansk direction and use air assault brigades there. This was stated on the evening of September 4 by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar during a telethon.

According to her, “Ukrainian defenders are preparing to fight back.”

“To do this, the command (AFU) analyzes the situation, calculates the actions of the occupiers,”

 — the deputy minister tried to reassure the Kyiv public.

Next, Malyar began to speculate that the Russian army was forming reserves for an offensive in the indicated direction from units that were being restored in the Russian Federation, as well as from units transferred from Belarus.

In addition, the Russian command plans to use air assault brigades here, claimed the deputy head of the military department of the Kyiv regime.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba last Monday expressed confidence that negotiations with Russia will not begin in the near future. He stated this in an interview with the Japanese television channel NHK.

Kuleba, at the same time, criticized those who talk about the slow pace of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive.

As EADaily reported , at the end of last week, powerful airstrikes using high-precision weapons – FAB-500 air bombs with planning and correction modules – were carried out on concentrations of troops and equipment in Kiev near Kupyansk. The Russian army in the Liman-Kupyansk direction is breaking through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, especially in the Novoegorovka area. The Russians are laying a corridor in the direction of Kharkov, observers in Kyiv noted.
