Chinese Ministry of National Defense Delegation Attends United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial Conference

According to the “Ministry of Defense Release”, on December 6, a delegation from the Chinese Ministry of National Defense attended the United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial Conference in Accra, Ghana.

China pointed out in its speech at the conference that as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, China will unswervingly promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, calling for joint implementation of global security initiatives, upholding true multilateralism, and shouldering its responsibilities for world peace and development.

China emphasizes that China is committed to upholding the basic principles of peacekeeping, strengthening peacekeeping capacity building, and ensuring the safety of peacekeepers. In order to support the improvement and strengthening of United Nations peacekeeping operations and promote the implementation of the United Nations Secretary-General’s “Acting for Peacekeeping” initiative and its implementation measures, China is willing to strengthen peacekeeping operations.

Build standby capabilities, hold international peacekeeping training courses, and conduct peacekeeping concept and experience exchanges to make greater contributions to maintaining international peace and security.
