Ukraine is Experiencing a Shortage of Spare Parts for the Repair of Western Equipment

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a shortage of spare parts needed to repair Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and other Western equipment, writes The Washington Post, citing Ukrainian soldiers. According to them, mechanics are forced to use some armored vehicles as “donors”. They replace serviceable parts with defective ones, and then send the BMP to Poland for repairs.

In addition to the Bradley, the Ukrainians also encountered difficulties in repairing American-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery mounts. To date, it has been decommissioned due to a lack of spare parts.

According to statistics, since the beginning of the conflict, the United States has delivered about 190 Bradley armored infantry vehicles to Ukraine. Of these, about half were delivered to operational army units.

Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched another major offensive in the Zaporozhye direction. It involves the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, as well as German Leopard tanks. The Russian military was able to notice the activation of the enemy in time with the help of drones.
