Zelensky Discussed With the Prime Minister of the Netherlands the Strengthening of Air Defense and Training on the F-16

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.

Rutte announced the conversation with Zelensky on Twitter, European Pravda reports.

According to him, “the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine,” and they are now studying “what else we can do to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.”

“One of the ways we can help is to work with our partners to train Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets,” he wrote.

The prime minister also congratulated Zelensky on a “successful meeting in Saudi Arabia regarding the war, where the Netherlands was represented”, stressing that “it is important to continue talking about peace in Ukraine with this wide group of countries.”

“We also discussed developments at the front and the continuous, arbitrary and brutal attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets and food supplies,” Rutte said.

Earlier it was reported that the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak discussed with US national security adviser Jake Sullivan the strengthening of air defense in southern Ukraine to protect the ports.

Before that, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called for arming Ukraine with F-16s after another Russian missile attack.
